Breakthrough is system agnostic and integrates with over 45 TMS partners. We can exchange data in many ways including API, SFTP, and AS2, or whatever means necessary. Implementation typically takes 6 to 8 weeks and requires only 10-20 hours from your tech team.

CleanMile manages Scope 1 & 3 transportation emissions. While Scope 1 & 2 are often prioritized because they are perceived as easier to address, CleanMile simplifies Scope 3 emissions management, making it cost-effective and easy. As a result, Sustainability orgs have begun to prioritize Scope 3 transportation emissions.

Tracking carbon emissions is one step of a comprehensive emissions management program. CleanMile calculates emissions at the load level in near real-time to develop an effective emissions reduction plan. Fuel prices for all shipments can be found on your fuel report, which is released daily before 8:00 a.m. CST. You can also look up shipment details on Breakthrough's platform, FELIX. Don’t have a FELIX login? Please request an account.

You may not see a fuel price for a shipment on your daily fuel report for multiple reasons:

The shipment check calls have not been updated. Most shippers require a shipment's status to be in "Enroute", "In Transit," or "Post-Goods Issued" status to trigger the shipment to Breakthrough for fuel calculation. Please ensure that all check calls have been updated on the shipment in question.

The shipment's pickup date hasn't been reached yet. Shipments with future pickup dates will not price fuel until the pickup date has been reached. Once the pickup date is reached, fuel will calculate and show on the following morning's daily fuel report.

Breakthrough is missing a piece of shipment information needed to calculate fuel. Breakthrough works closely with shippers to ensure all shipment details are received to return a fuel amount to you in a timely manner.

Breakthrough can send fuel reports to carriers via email or through an AS2 or SFTP connection in multiple formats such as a XML or CSV file. To receive the fuel report, update your contact information, or establish an AS2/SFTP connection, please contact Carrier Support for assistance.

The "Lookup Rates" button in the upper right-hand corner of the tool will turn blue once all data fields containing an * and your SCAC code have been completed.

If you are still not receiving a fuel estimate, ensure that you have selected the previous date as the pickup date. If you selected the current date, Breakthrough may not yet have fuel pricing in FELIX at the time you requested the fuel estimate.
