Breakthrough's CleanMile Solution Receives a 2023 SEAL Sustainable Service Award

The leader in transportation technology and sustainable solutions is recognized for their innovative service that sets a new standard for sustainability in the supply chain.

Green Bay, Wis., May 16, 2023 – Breakthrough, a leading transportation technology and sustainable solutions provider, has received a 2023 SEAL Sustainable Service Award from SEAL Awards.

SEAL (Sustainability, Environmental Achievement & Leadership) Awards is an environmental advocacy organization that honors leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainable business practices. Breakthrough was recognized for its CleanMile service, the transportation sector’s first end-to-end emissions management solution for scope 1 and 3 emissions that gives shippers the framework and support to track, plan, and execute decarbonization initiatives. CleanMile sets a new standard for scope 3 emissions reduction, which typically comprises 80 to 90% of a shipper’s carbon footprint and is notoriously difficult to track and reduce.

Designed to inform business decisions and steer efforts to reduce emissions, SFC’s GLEC framework is the only globally recognized methodology for harmonized calculation and reporting of the logistics GHG footprint across the multi-modal supply chain. CleanMile collects, analyzes, and mobilizes load-level transportation data to establish an emissions baseline, recommend reduction initiatives, and take action.
